Does it take away from the game? No, but they're always going on about lore, continuity, immersion into the game. So, why the question?Īs much money Blizzard makes off of this game, you'd think they could afford to pay at least one editor. What could Khadgar be questioning in that sentence? His hopes? He is not asking anyone if they're standing by, he's telling us. So, why all the grammar mistakes? Something like this, or when Khadgar says, (Horde side - and doing it from memory so sorry if I don't have the exact dialog) "We have the best standing by, I hope?" Why is that a question? When you hear the voice actor saying it, there is no question in his voice. These (programmers) are suppose to be intelligent people. It's just that, there are so many grammar errors in this game that you'd think when they write it, they'd hire an editor to look at spelling, grammar. Not that it means a hill of beans about anything really. Not that it does a thing for or against the quest. I'm just amazed that, in all the patches, hot fixes, what have you, they didn't take the time to change "was" to "were".
#GLOOMSHADE GAME HUNTER TURN IN PATCH#
Legions is over, BfA is almost into its first patch (I think about a week or two). Not that I expect the programmers to fix it now. I totally believe Phlox would leave out "are" when saying, ".now they are gone." I don't believe for a second he'd use the wrong verb tense. Phlox says, "Your friends (plural) was (singular) here, now they gone." But, in this case, someone just missed the boat. The dialog was written by programmers who have all the time they need to get the grammar correct, for the character, I agree. But this isn't like a player posting something here, in a hurry or just letting off steam.
